Melissa Makundi Is Named to Dean's List at Florida Institute of Technology

Melissa Makundi, a Civil Engineering major and resident of Houston, TX, was among the students from Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne who were named to the Dean's List for the spring semester, which ended in May.

To be included on the Dean's List, a student must complete 12 or more graded credits in a semester with a semester grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.4.

Founded at the dawn of the Space Race in 1958, Florida Tech is the only independent, technological university in the Southeast. Florida Tech has been named a Barron's Guide "Best Buy" in College Education, designated a Tier One Best National University in U.S. News & World Report, and is one of just nine schools in Florida lauded by the 2013 Fiske Guide to Colleges.
